Today Year 11 and Year 13 had their day at Riverside Free School. The girls worked in groups to teach two different classes in the morning and did an amazing job: Mrs L-H and Miss H were both extremely proud of them In the afternoon, we spent time with the girls and young women who attend DISHA Women's Development Centre. We helped out with patchwork quilt making and were lucky enough to receive Henna artwork on our hands and arms. After enjoying afternoon masala chai, pakora and halwa, we gave our donations of sewing materials to the centre, for which the principal was most grateful. We left Riverside Free School with full hearts, a desire to return and a deeper appreciation of how lucky we all are and how much we take for granted - what a day!
